Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training
BFR training involves the application of a pneumatic cuff over the working muscle to stimulate muscle hypertrophy and increase muscle strength without having to carry a heavy load. Research has shown that you only need about 20–30% of 1RM to achieve muscle strengthening and hypertrophy. It is very useful when there is an injury that prevents you from doing high intensity exercise and you need to strengthen those muscles.
